To help allay the progress of a yeast infection, two 2,000 milligram doses should be taken, one in the morning and the other in the night. The daily value for vitamin C is only 60 milligrams; however, such high amounts of vitamin C are considered safe. One note of caution, taking just 1,200 milligrams of vitamin C has shown to cause diarrhea. Vitamins for Yeast Infection: Vitamin A

It is known that doses of 10,000 international units of vitamin A taken during early pregnancy have been linked to birth defects. Vitamin A poisoning can occur when 25,000 international units per day are taken. Under no circumstances should a women who is pregnant take high doses of vitamin A.

Vitamins for Yeast Infection: Vitamin E
Vitamin E is another fat-soluble vitamin that contains both tocopherols and tocotrienols. Current research has found no harmful effects from consuming vitamin E in comestibles; however, taking elevated doses of vitamin E can cause some side effects. Ingesting high doses of alpha-tocopherols has been known to cause hemorrhage and interrupt blood coagulation in animals. If you are taking anticoagulants, you should not take vitamin E supplements.
Dietary supplements of vitamin E can be taken to help combat a Candida infection, but should be done under the supervision of a physician. Consider taking no more than 400 international units of vitamin E daily to combat yeast infections.
