By using them together it is likely you will create a treatment that surpasses the effectiveness of a single remedy. The synergy created by using these natural remedies together is likely to help you effectively mitigate your Candida infection.
You should always eat acidophilus yogurt and apply it to the area infected by Candida to ensure the L. acidophilus can help keep the Candida at bay. Using this yogurt along with an herbal remedy is perhaps a great way to help stop a Candida infection.
Acidophilus Yogurt for Candida
Eileen Hilton and her co-workers at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y, performed research using yogurt containing L. acidophilus bacteria. Hilton’s research showed that women who ingested yogurt containing live L. acidophilus bacteria had yeast infections less frequently.
You can use L. acidophilus oral capsules if you do not have access to yogurt containing live L. acidophilus bacteria. Additionally you can also make your own yogurt with live L. acidophilus. If you have a way to incubate milk at a steady temperature, you can make your own homemade yogurt. Remember when you make your yogurt to not add any sugar or foods containing high amounts of sugar. Sugar is a natural food supply of Candida. If you intend to use L. acidophilus yogurt as a douche, having excess sugar in your yogurt will feed the Candida.
When you make your own homemade yogurt, make sure you let the yogurt ferment for 8 to 12 hours. The longer you let your yogurt ferment, the more bacteria will be present in the yogurt and the less sugar will be present in the yogurt. Having a lot of bacteria and a low amount of sugar in your yogurt will make it ideal for use as a Candida remedy.
Garlic for Candida
Freshly crushed garlic contains two powerful anti-fungal chemicals: allicin and ajoene. Allicin has been shown to be an effective fungus killing chemical compound. Despite the fact that allicin is an effective killer of fungus, allicin is quite unstable. Pure allicin’s half life is less than three hours. If refrigerated at a cold enough temperature, allicin can be maintained for no longer than 48 hours. If you want to get the most allicin possible, make sure you crush your garlic thoroughly and use it immediately. When you crush garlic the chemicals alliin and alliinase go through a chemical reaction to create allicin.
Ajoene is a chemical constituent of garlic that was studied in Japan and was shown to be able to stop Candida albicans from growing. Ajoene is effective at halting different types of skin Candida infestations such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, and jock itch. A garlic gel with a one percent concentration of ajoene was similar in its effectiveness as Lamisil.
Camomile for Candida
Camomile is an herb that is particularly effective against Candida. In addition to fighting Candida, camomile is also a strong antibacterial herb and has anti-inflammatory constituents. Camomile can be both ingested and used topically to cure Candida. To do this you can make a strong tea of Camomile and drink it throughout the day. You can also apply the tea two to four times each day right on the area attacked by the fungus.
Henna for Candida
Henna has a chemical constituent that is good for fighting off fungus known as lawsone. You can start to utilize henna by making a strong decoction by simmering five to seven teaspoons of henna per cup of water for approximately 20 minutes. Once you have simmered the mixture allow it to cool and you can place the henna decoction directly onto the part of your body invaded by Candida one to three times each day.
Henna may not be safe to consume orally, so make sure you talk with a licensed doctor before you decide to take any amount of henna orally.
Henna is a flowering plant that has been used historically as a dye for skin, hair, leather, and wool. Henna is a native plant to the tropical and subtropical areas of Africa, southern Asia, and in parts of northern Australasia. Henna flowers can also be used to make a perfume and henna also can repel some insects.
