A yeast infection is an opportunistic infection caused by fungus; typically Candida albicans. This problem affects women from all ages. Even babies can get a yeast infection; and, men can too. But what happens when this fungus builds up in your body, and actually causes yeast related drunkenness?
There once was a man named Charlie Swaart who lived in Arizona. For nearly a decade, he would occasionally become a sloppy, hostile, and occasionally a violent drunk; even though he hadn’t drank any alcohol. On at least one occasion, Charlie Swaart was picked up for driving drunk.
Due to the unusual circumstances surrounding this event of being pulled over for drunkenness while behind the wheel; his Arizona physician learned of a report from Japan, describing drunkenness that was actually caused by an overgrowth of Candida albicans in the digestive system. The physician put charlie on nystatin; and, he showed very good—even dramatic—improvement.
According to the late Dr. William G. Crook, M.D.:
Charlie passed away several years ago. Although I never met him, we talked on the phone on several occasions in the 1980s. We also exchanged letters. During our conversations, Charlie pointed out that yeast-induced intoxication isn’t rare. To support his point of view, he told me that he and his wife had received hundreds of telephone calls and letters from people all over the world describing yeast-related drunkenness. The Yeast Connection and the Woman, by William G. Crook, M.D., (p.603)
Dr. Crook, in his book The Yeast Connection and the Woman, has many different accounts he relates, about people who have become intoxicated from the fungus growing inside their intestinal system.
Treating a Yeast Infection in just 12 Hours Naturally
If you have been experiencing the terrible affects of a yeast infection, you should consider reading Sarah Summer’s website. This website describes how to naturally treat your yeast infection without using harmful prescription drugs. Sarah used to be plagued with a very aggressive form of recurrent yeast infection. Eventually, this led her to do her own research on the subject after doctors could not provide Sarah Summer with an answer that would help cure her vaginal yeast infections.
Sarah Summer developed a system to totally eliminate Candida albicans from her system that can work in as little as 12 hours. Her husband and her, spent a great deal of time researching yeast infections, and comprised a book that describes exactly how to cure this condition. The book is sold through ClickBank, which is a subsidiary of Keynetics Incorporated. Sarah Summer’s work has helped many people and comes with a 8 week iron-clad money back guarantee. If for any reason at all you are not satisfied with Sarah Summer’s book, you can return it and get your money back quickly and easily. You can also contact Sarah via email; Sarah Summer’s email address is located at the bottom of Sarah’s website. You can expect an answer to your inquires.
Is Candida Albicans the Same as Brewer’s Yeast?
Yeast metabolize sugar and turn it into alcohol. The type of yeast brewers use to make alcohol are not the same as the types of yeast that cause yeast infections. The yeast used for making alcohol is known as Saccharomyces cerevisiae; and, this yeast does not cause yeast infections.
Dr. William G. Crook, also relates a story about an unnamed woman, which he calls Melinda. Melinda had suffered from a compound fracture of her bones in her right leg. A day or so after she became injured, she developed a very bad infection. To treat the infection, the physicians prescribed antibiotics; which she took for the next three weeks.
Antibiotics have the unfortunate side effect of wiping out all the friendly microscopic bacteria inside a person’s body. However, antibiotics may be necessary for killing pathogenic bacteria causing a problem. As a result of there not being much competition for food and other resources in the body, Candida can grow unchecked after a person takes antibiotics for a significant period of time.
Melinda would later, after taking the antibiotics for three weeks, go out to eat with a friend. She had two big glasses of sugary cola (perfect for yeast to metabolize into alcohol) along with two eight ounce glasses of wine. When Melinda was driving home, she decided to pull her car to the side of the road to show the apartment building where another friend lived. A police officer stopped to check to ensure Melinda was not having difficulties with her car. The police officer noticed alcohol on her breath, took her to the police station, and drew Melinda’s blood. The analysis done by a toxicologist, showed Melinda’s blood alcohol level at .205.
A study, done by Drs. Stephen Daves, John Howard, and Dr. Adrian Hunnisett, found that people with yeast related health maladies, can sometimes have nutritional deficiencies which interfere with the metabolism of alcohol. The lack of metabolizing alcohol correctly, by the body, can cause there to be higher levels of alcohol in the blood.
