One relevant study to peruse, regarding bael essential oil’s yeast fighting efficacy, is: Chemical Composition, Antimicrobial and Antifungal Activities of Essential Oils of the Leaves of Aegle marmelos (L.) Correa Growing in Egypt. This study, published in the Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Science [Vol. 5 (02), pp. 001-005, February, 2015], shows the effects of bael oil on Candida albicans.
Surprisingly, the researchers found that essential bael oil was a better inhibitor of Candida than the conventional antifungal drug nystatin. In fact, bael oil was able to inhibit both fungi tested twice as much as nystatin did. It is possible to conclude that bael oil is drastically superior to nystatin for fighting a yeast infection.
